Langar Church of England Primary School

January 2021

Remember to look on our video resource centre too for stories that you can listen to.

PE home activities - have a look at some ideas you can try at home (click on the link in the document)

Week Beginning 11th January 2021 - Cold Places

There are three new stories to listen to on the video shared resource in Class 1's section.

Have a look on our Collective Worship page (scroll down in the home learning section)Mrs Brown has uploaded a powerpoint.  We would normally all gather together on a Monday morning in the hall at 9am, it would be nice to think we were still together if you share this to start your morning.

Picture News - again scroll down in the home learning section to find this.  We would normally share this on a Wednesday morning together in the class.  You could maybe start your Wednesday morning with this.

Dear Parents,

Once again we find ourselves in a 'new' normal situation and for you as parents this is your first experience of Langar home remote learning.  Please be assured I am still here for you and your child and can be contacted via the class 1 email to answer any questions you may have about the home learning, and I do mean any questions!  There may be days when home learning is tough, and if so be kind to yourself and do not plough on, take a break and have family time together.  As you will see there is a timetable for learning at home, you can pick and choose the order you do things.  There is a daily Literacy, phonics, maths and topic activity to do.   To help with some of the activities there is a learning pack at school waiting for you to collect from now.  The packs will normally be available from every Thursday for you to collect at your allotted surname time which you can then use for the activities relating to the learning for the following week.  If you have any work you would like to be looked at you can drop it off at the same time as you pick up your new pack.  Please ensure your child's name is on any work so feedback can be given via email.  There will be a weekly zoom session on a Friday, a weekly story uploaded and eventually an uploaded session.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch via class email.  I will be contacting you all shortly via email when you have sent me your email addresses.

Take care and stay safe.

Mrs Richardson

Hello Class 1,

I hope you enjoy doing some of these activities at home with your parents.  There will be a zoom meeting on Friday afternoon where we can all say hello to each other and share something that we have been doing at home this week. (You will need your Mummy or Daddy with you whilst we are zooming!)

Listen carefully and try your best with your activities.  I will be asking your grown ups to send me an email about what you have been doing.

This will feel different now you are learning at home and are not at school with your friends, but we will all do our best and we will be back together soon at school.

Take care

From Mrs Richardson

Mrs Petchell and Mrs Sellers say a big hello!
