The PTA organises and runs activities and events in order to:-

• foster relationships between staff, parents and the local community
Some of the fundraising activities we have done in the past have included:-
• Beetle drive
• Fashion show
• Bike ride and BBQ
• Bonfire and fireworks display
• Personalised tea towels, mugs etc.
• Balloon race
• Summer Fair
• Christmas Fair
In addition it is the PTA who arrange the purchase and sale of school uniform.
PTA fundraising has facilitated the purchase of many things including:-

At Langar School all parents, guardians and staff are automatic members of the PTA with a small committee of parents and teachers meeting periodically to organise and co-ordinate events and activities. An AGM is held once a year to which all parents and staff are invited.
Currently the main committee members are:-
Chair Sophie Crowder
Treasurer Kate Morris
Secretary Hannah Ravenscroft/Lucy Bloor

How You Can Help the PTA
We all lead busy lives, however there are still several ways you can help your children at Langar School through the PTA…
Supporting the Committee
We’re all volunteers and organising and running events takes time and effort, so the more of us there are the easier it becomes. If you enjoy planning and organising events or have some fundraising ideas then you are very welcome to come to the PTA meetings.
Donating Time or Materials
Skills: Be they professional skills such as accountancy, cookery, secretarial, etc or something more fun like face painting, hair braiding or balloon modelling
Equipment: You may have access to equipment that would be useful for events (e.g. generators, lighting, bouncy castle) or donations for tombola’s and raffles.
Contacts: You may have contacts for stall holders for our various school fairs, media contacts for publicity or contacts for raffle prizes
Occasional Help: We keep a list of people who are happy to be asked on an ad hoc basis to help with setting up, clearing away, manning stalls, etc.
Some companies have schemes the PTA may benefit from such as community grants or matched fundraising
Giving Feedback and Suggestions
You can give any feedback / ideas to a committee member.
And of course if you don’t feel able to contribute in any other way we always appreciate your support in attending the various activities and events run by the PTA.
If you are able to help in any of the above ways then please fill in the attached form.
Thank you for your continued support!
