Hi class 2 scientists,
please find the link below for this weeks science lesson.
This week we're using sunflower seeds to do an experiment. If you don't have any seeds at home you can take some from the pot when you collect your work packs. You can decide where you would like to keep your seeds for this weeks experiment.
How are your beans germinating? In class, we are going to transfer them to pots with compost as they are beginning to germinate really well now.
Good luck

Germination
Welcome to lesson 2
You should have an envelope in your home learning pack with some seeds in. You will have 2 beans and lots of cress seeds.
When you do your experiment you can put one of the bean seeds in water to remove the outer layer and then keep the outer layer on the other bean. You will compare both beans and see if one begins to germinate before the other one. Which one do you predict will begin to germinate first?
Have a go at germinating your cress seeds too.
Watch the video to check what you need to do.
Have fun germinating.
Please read along with the story and make sure you don't throw your beans out of the window. We don't want any beanstalks growing in Langar or do we?
Enjoy
Do plants grow in the winter?
This term in our science lessons, we will learning about plants and how they grow.
Today, we are going to be super spotters and see how many different types of flowers and trees we know and are familiar with.
Please watch the following power point and complete the activities in your packs.
Enjoy going for a walk in your village or in your garden and spotting any flowers you might be able to find.
Have fun class 2
