Children's Mental Health Week 5th – 9th February 2024
My Voice Matters is about empowering young people to use their voices, share what matters to them, and encourage those around them to hear their voices.
On Monday, 5th February 2024 all children, in PSHE time, will be talking about what matters to them and how they actually can use their voice. Children who feel that their voices are heard makes a difference, they have higher levels of self-efficacy and self-esteem.
On Thursday, 8th February 2024 Mrs George and three Year 5 children will be attending the NottAlone event in Newark where all schools from Nottinghamshire City Council and Nottingham County Council are coming together to share ideas, information and practice to support children and young people’s wellbeing. There will be workshops and speakers which is also hosted by the Nottingham City Mental Health Support Team.
To celebrate the week all children at school are asked to wear whatever they wish to wear to school on Friday 9th February 2024 so that they can “express themselves”.
