Maths, English & Science 'Virtual' After-School options

Good afternoon,

Magical Maths is continuing to provide fun and educational support through their after-school virtual classes, the latest sessions of which start NEXT WEEK.

They have options for Maths, English and Science options, all of which feature games, tricks and activities designed to further engage children with these subjects. The 'hosts' are:

  Professor Poopenshtinken                 Bill Shakeypants

(Maths & Science expert)    (English maestro extraordinaire)

For dates, times and other info:

Children have loved the sessions they've run so far and below is a selection of the feedback:

The virtual sessions have been a life saver during lockdown. Our boys really look forward to them. In their words “we get to do maths while having fun”. They love the magical maths tricks which they can then test out on family and friends after the lesson. Tim has an energised teaching style. He is attentive and great at engaging the children and remembering their names. We highly recommend Magical Maths!

                                                                      Karen Kemp, Grantham

Ruby found the lessons great fun, she looked forward to them each week even the ones in the holidays which was very impressive!

Thank you again and I’ll definitely book more if there are spaces available.

                                                                            Tina Britton, Bristol

Just wanted to say a big thank you, Freya really enjoyed the excited English classes. Without doubt the English zoom sessions have been such a blessing to help with home schooling. The content is great and being part of a group while learning really helped to give her motivation. Would highly recommend!!

                                                                       Anne-Marie, Nottingham

"Toby loved that! First thing he said was 'is it on tomorrow??' Thanks so much! Good for him to learn more skills so he can keep practicing his maths!"

Lauren Williams, Manchester

"I think the magical maths virtual classes are brilliant - Finley really enjoyed it and has been ‘mind reading’ with his family over FaceTime! Hopefully there are more Zoom classes that he can participate in."

Finley's mum, Nottinghamshire

The sessions are fun and interactive and have a proven track-record for boosting children’s confidence and enthusiasm for the subjects.

Places on each Zoom session are limited to ensure good interaction levels and with over 350 children having joined in previously - spaces will go fast.

Yours Mathemagically

We were very happy to rebook Magical Maths, especially after seeing such detailed and positive evaluations from the parents.

Margaret Wiliams, Head Teacher, The Good Shepherd Primary Catholic Academy, Woodthorpe

The children always seem engaged in the club and are clearly enjoying it. The tutors always seem equally engaged and passionate about maths. In addition, parents have been very positive about the club. On parents evening, some parents in my class said that their children go home very enthusiastic about their time at the club and enjoy sharing their experience with their family.

Craig Ashton, Maths Co-Ordinator, Abbey Primary, Forest Town

The children seemed very enthusiastic afterwards and haven't shut up about it since! The tutors appeared well prepared and were there on time and nice and smiley :)

Claire Gregg, Maths Leader, Forest Town PS

I have met with the children who have attended this term's KS2 club and their enthusiasm for what they have been doing was overwhelming!  Equally, I have spoken with Helen Tasker in the KS2 office and she has been very happy with the way in which the clubs have been run and organised.
