Langar Church of England Primary School

Spring Term Dates

I thought it would be handy to give you information about up and coming dates this half term.

Friday 1st March is a busy day with an author visit, Class 3 Sharing Assembly and a cake sale!

  • Troy Jenkins, author will be visiting school in the morning for a talk and workshop
  • Class 3 Sharing assembly will be at 2.30 and parents are most welcome to come along
  • Class 3 will hold a cake sale after school to raise money for their gardening project (further details to follow)

Thursday 7th March is World Book Day

We will be continuing exploring the work of Troy Jenkins and working around the theme -  All different! All special! We will send further details nearer the time but we would like to invite children to bring in a book that has inspired them. Maybe the main character is daring or proud of how unique they are. Maybe they have an autobiography of a role model of theirs. To really get in the spirit children can come in dressed in an outfit that tells us something about their book or the character in it.

Monday 25th March snapshot reports will be published.

This will be followed by virtual parent/ teacher meetings which will be held throughout the day on Tuesday 26th March. These are ten minute slots which conveniently allow you to take part in the meetings from wherever you are!

The final week of the term is Holy Week and the final day of the spring term is Thursday 28th March. Children will take part in Experience Easter Day on Tuesday 26th which will engage them with the Easter story through a range of practical activities. They will then enjoy some Easter traditions, such as making and wearing Easter bonnets, an Easter egg hunt and baking on the final day of the term, some of which you will be invited to come and join in with from 2.30pm.
