Langar Church of England Primary School

Autumn Term Learning

Your children have settled back into school beautifully. It has been such a joy to see them altogether for playtimes, lunch and collective worship.

All classes have started history topics, which will last all term. You can find out about the content of your children's topics by clicking on the relevant year groups and taking a look at the 'Content Card.' We are currently on Year A.

Teachers have planned Learning to Learn homework tasks for children to complete as and when they choose. These provide a wonderful opportunity for you to get involved with the topic they are learning and for your children to develop their personal skills as well as acquiring further knowledge. These are on class pages.

Should you wish to further develop your history knowledge of the local area take a look at A History of Langar for young people - A History of Langar for young people (jimdofree.com) and try out some of the quizzes that were created to encourage children to navigate around the site  History | Langar C of E Primary School (secure-primarysite.net)

Children are also taught the full range of curriculum subjects. If you wish to look at the end of year groups outcomes for these subjects, then please look at the 'Academic Excellence' page Academic Excellence - Curriculum Subjects | Langar C of E Primary School (secure-primarysite.net) and click on the relevant subject. As well as information about the way the subject is taught, you will also see year group expectations and a range of resources and ideas to support your understanding and in turn your child's understanding of the subject.
