Physical Education here at Langar C of E is more than just sport and competition. We aim to help develop each child's physical literacy, as well as their social, emotional and thinking skills to achieve in PE, Sport and life.
Through the implementation of Real PE across all year groups, we work to develop the children's learning skills alongside their academic ability in relation to PE.
The Real PE scheme helps create positive relationships with physical activity for life, targeting development in six key areas: Personal, Social, Cognitive, Creative, Physical, and Health and Fitness.
Through carefully planned out lessons, we aim to target specific fundamental movement skills, such as dynamic balance or agility, allowing the children to identify and relate the skills practised to known sports as well as everyday activities.
