Our School Day 

The school gate will be open from 8.30am with entry to the school building from 8.40am. Registration takes place at 8.50am. Children are permitted to enter school at any point during these ten minutes. This allows parents a softer start to the day and a slightly staggered start for parking and drop off.

All parents and children will access the grounds via the main school gate which is on Barnstone Road and exit this way too. The disabled parking bay may be used on request, but only for parents or children requiring wheelchair access. Classes 3 and 4 will enter the school via their external classroom doors and exit this way at the end of the day. Classes 1 and 2 will come into school via the front door off the playground which enters the class 1 and 2 corridor. This entrance will be manned by a different member of staff each morning whilst class teachers settle and welcome the children coming into the classroom.

The school day ends at 3.20pm. Gates will be opened at 3.10pm to ensure that you are on the school site by the time your child comes out of school. Classes 3 and 4 parents can wait where visible to their children, either on the playground, around the outdoor classroom or reflection garden and the children will exit via their classroom doors. Parents of children in classes 1 and 2 should wait on the playground and the children will be brought around the building onto the playground for dismissal. If children are not collected by 3.30pm, they will be brought into school to wait by the school office so that staff can start their after school duties. The gates will be closed at this time and parents will need to come to the office to collect them.
