We are a church school, with a strong Christian ethos. We are also a community school serving Langar and Barnstone and the surrounding areas. We welcome and respect children and families of all faiths and none.

As the parent /carer of a child who lives in Nottinghamshire you must apply for a school place to Nottinghamshire County Council by 15 January 2022 even if the school you prefer is outside Nottinghamshire.

The best way to apply is online at www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/admissions. If you apply online, you will receive an email detailing the outcome of your application on 16 April 2020. All other applicants will be notified by letter posted second class on that day.

You can register and apply online from 6 November 2021 to 15 January 2022. When you have submitted your application, we will send you an email confirming we have received your preferences. You must submit an application and any other supporting information before the closing date of 15 January 2022. You will not be able to apply online after this date.

Information on schools, the number of places they have, and their oversubscription criteria are outlined in Admission to schools: school information.

Admission to school at other times

Nottinghamshire County Council coordinates in-year admissions to school. If you are moving into our catchment area or would like your child to attend our school, in the first instance, please contact the school office to enquire about places (01949 860056). We will offer you an appointment to come and look around school and meet with Mrs Brown.

Applications for a place can be made up to 6 weeks before the place is required. Nottinghamshire County Council also hold waiting lists for year groups reception to year 5. These are held in admission oversubscription criteria order until the end of the summer term. Parents requiring a place for the following year must reapply.

In line with County Council policy we have been asked to remind you that:

  • living in the catchment area, moving into a catchment area or having a brother or sister attending a school does not guarantee that your application will be successful.
  • If you have not moved house, you should talk to your child’s current head teacher before making an application.
  • your child should continue to attend their current school until and alternative school place has been offered and an admission date has been agreed.
  • if you have moved house, you may be requested to provide proof of residence so that the County Council can verify the address of you and your child.
  • you should list 4 schools in order of preference.
