Langar Church of England Primary School

Anti-Social Parking

It is with deep regret that I have to raise this topic once more. As previously outlined earlier in the half term, the safety and well-being of our children, families, staff and local residents is at the heart of actions and decisions undertaken here, and is captured in our school values of love, thoughtfulness, respect, fairness and take care. It is upsetting when other stakeholders do not abide by these values.

Over the course of the year I have received numerous complaints about the parking around school, from parents and local residents. One of these incidents meant that an ambulance could not pass and attend a patient in Belvoir Crescent, and several of these incidents have put children's lives at risk.

Today I have received a photograph of a car blocking the driveway of one of our neighbours and a friend of the school.

I appeal to your sound judgement and high moral standing - please, utilise the car parks that we have in Langar; at The Unicorn's Head and outside of church, abide by the Highway Code (parking away from junctions and not on zigzag lines) and do not put the lives of others at risk for the sake of getting into school at 8.40am.
