'The Easter story is not just about death - it's about new life'. These were the words we ended with in church this afternoon after 'living out' the events of Holy Week in school and church today.
This morning in school, children have experienced what it would have been like to walk the streets filled with joy on Palm Sunday, to be washed by Jesus at the Passover meal, to share in the Last Supper and pray in the Garden of Gethsamane. After lunch we went to church where David Rowe and his wife Pixie had set the church depicting the scenes of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The children were in awe as they sat at the foot of the cross and then peered into the empty tomb.
