It has been brought to my attention that some parents have been discussing reinstating the PTA. However, since 2019, following an ill attended AGM, a natural evolution of the PTA took place and we formed the Friends of Langar Church of England Primary School.  Although you may be unaware, following two and a half years of few whole school and fundraising events, as a parent, carer or family member you are automatically a member this group.

Over the coming six final weeks of this academic year staff will begin planning events for the following academic year, to enable opportunities to enrich the wider life of the school, raise funds and bring together members of our community. Up to now these events, such as The Bunny Hop Disco, have been organised and manned primarily by school staff.  For such events next year, we will call on your help and expertise for each of these as necessary.

We welcome any thoughts and suggestions you have for fundraising ideas.  Should anyone be interested in holding a specific event, please email office@langar.notts.sch.uk, as we will consider the feasibility and then discuss it with you.

We do hope you will relish in the opportunity to get involved and provide our children with exciting and fun experiences whilst raising much needed funds for the school.
