Grown Up week started yesterday with a fantastic talk and workshop led by Elizabeth Parnham, an art dealer. The children were fascinated to hear about how the world of art works and the substantial amounts of money that collectors pay for their favourite pieces!
Elizabeth brought three pieces from her gallery to show the children who then tried to recreate them using a variety of media. The seven lucky children who's work was judged to be most like the original pieces are going to have their work framed by the George Thornton Art Gallery in Nottingham and one piece will be displayed there for a week!
