As we are nearing the end of the year, I begin to think about staff training that is needed for the following year! Although you will probably only be interested in the dates of the INSET days, I thought I would share with you what we use them for as children are often under the illusion that it is an extra holiday for us!!
NCC Admin Day - Wednesday 31st August (to be desegregated as two twilights for new phonics scheme training across the autumn term)
INSET - Thursday 1st September - Policy updates, hand over meetings with previous class teachers, calendar dates etc
INSET - Friday 2nd September -History CPD - The effective use of artefacts and trips
Children then start back on Monday 5th September
INSET - Wednesday 4th January - Effective use of field work in geography (plus any other training required at that point)
INSET - Friday 31st March - Planning the Create topics and CPD around art and DT
