Langar Church of England Primary School

Netball

As a small school, we are always somewhat limited by our small number of staff as to the extra curricular sports we can offer. We therefore like to signpost you to other local clubs and activities that your children can access.

I have received a recommendation of a brilliant local netball club for girls aged 9 to 16. The club is attended by a number of ex-Langar pupils and parents say it is a fantastic club; well organised and with great coaches.

The club is currently looking for new players.  To fins out more please take a look at their website: junior club | Bingham Netball

The website says:

We train on a Monday night at Bingham Leisure Centre between 6pm and 8.15pm depending on age.  Fees are £28 per academic term but your first 2 weeks are free.

Do come along and join us. We train outside so wrap up warm in the winter months.  We allow you to wear hats, gloves, scarves and coats - waterproofs can be very useful!

All junior players must affiliate to England Netball within 3 weeks of starting.  Costs for the year (September 2021 to August 2022) are:

  • £22 under 18

  • £11 under 14

  • £6 under 11

(Ages are as at 1st September in the year of membership)

All players/parents/helpers must sign and abide by the club's Code of Conduct which is issued on the first night of training.  All Coaches and helpers are DBS checked and have attended the relevant courses for safe guarding and first aid.

We are always looking for an extra pair of hands to help with the busy sessions, so do let us know if you are interested.

We offer our older players the chance to sign up to England Netball’s Pass On Your Passion.
