  Children's Sensory Therapy Ltd are a team of experienced Occupational Therapists specialising in Paediatrics and Sensory Processing based in Aslockton.

   

  They say:

   

  Children’s Sensory Therapy are based at our beautiful specialist clinic, Midlands Child and Family Therapy Centre

  We have three Sensory Integration rooms that form a base for our team of Specialist Occupational Therapists, who also work in Special Schools, cover EHCP work, develop and deliver sensory diets, develop and deliver sensory circuits, offer training and education, offer trauma informed sensory processing and Sensory Attachment Intervention, work on functional skills; handwriting, dressing skills, play and regulation etc!

   

  We also have amazing Synchrony Psychology based here, led by Clinical Psychologist Dr Zoe Webb. Dr Webb’s team offer a range of services, such as DDP and Theraplay .

   

  In addition to this, we have three beautiful rooms for rental, either on an hourly basis, half a day, full day or permanent basis. These rooms are perfect for talking therapy, play therapy, physio, speech and language therapy and one to one education for home learning

• Respect Week News

  This week has been so powerful so far, especially in giving children a voice to share their stories. We are really building empathy through this and I hope sharing parent's stories gave you a real insight in how challenging and rewarding it can be to have a child with additional needs.

   

  Lewis Capaldi's struggle though his performance at Glastonbury demonstrated how powerful support and acceptance is when the crowd sang with him. Lewis Capaldi’s Glastonbury set displayed the best of the human spirit – and put disability centre-stage | Frances Ryan | The Guardian. It showed that children and adults with disabilities may need adaptations, support and understanding but it doesn't have to over shadow what they are able to do or stop them being their own brilliantly unique selves.

   

  However, there are some things that having a disability stops people doing and one of these may be a festival. I am sharing information about an Autism Friendly Family Festival in Derbyshire. • Summer Fair

  What an amazing day we had on Saturday! The summer fair was brilliant fun with all the traditional attractions as well as mod cons such as iced coffees, superstar DJs and gourmet burgers. 
   

  The incredible efforts of The Friends has raised over £1500 and we are hoping we now have enough to get a class set of iPads for the new academic year!
