Last week was our first week of Hot Chocolate Friday, and it was a pleasure to see precise and careful artwork of a Victorian street scene as well as a fantastic version of Going on a Bear Hunt that was full to bursting with descriptive vocabulary and fronted adverbials! We have once again celebrated the academic achievements of children this afternoon who have had a hot chocolate and spent time with Mrs Brown sharing the work they have been nominated for. Mrs Halsall popped in too and it was wonderful for the children to be able to share their work with a wider audience. We saw a wonderfully sculpted humpback whale, some fabulous partionning maths work, clear and concise instructions for how to make a Victorian brick and a perfectly clear explanation of place value in the form of a colourful poster.
I can't wait to see who is nominated next week!
