  • Year 3/4 Residential

    Thu 26 Sep 2019

School has been very quiet today without Mrs George, Mr Zisaruk-Gibson and class 3!

Mr Zisaruk-Gibson said that the children settled well last night after enjoying a delicious supper followed by a campfire.

  • Harvest Festival Service

    Tue 24 Sep 2019

We enjoyed a wonderful Harvest Festival Service yesterday. It was fantastic opportunity to gather in new members of our school community, some of whom were attending church as school parent for the first time as well as our new children in reception.  Children and adults celebrated the gathering in of the harvest in many ways - from songs sung, to paintings shared to the interactive sung prayer led by Ray Halpin.

We were thrilled to receive a wealth of produce as donations for The Friary, who sent their representative Jon to collect it in. The Friary will use this produce to provide meals and wash facilities for the 100 homeless people who pass through their door every week.

Thank you, as ever, for your support and generosity. It is wonderful to see our school values being lived out and impacting so positively on the lives of others.

  • Clubs

    Tue 03 Sep 2019

Clubs will be starting next week! We have many exciting and engaging opportunities on offer for your children. Please refer to the clubs letter (which is in the 'clubs' section of the website) for details of what's on offer and how to book your child a place.

We are holding a free Drumba session on Friday of this week, 3.20pm 6th September, for parents and children. The sessions will start on Monday 9th September. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to attend a club with their children and have fun keeping fit together!

Please note - French sessions will be taking place on a Tuesday, as was last year, and not on a Thursday as the letter wrongly states.

  • Greetings from Nyofella

    Mon 02 Sep 2019

It was wonderful to receive this email this morning on our first day of the new school year:

This is Morris the head  Nyofelleh Lower Basic School.

On behalf of the children and staff I hereby thank you and the children for sending to our children clothes, shoes and toys. They like everything your children sent. They read the note written by your children and like it.

We both want your children to collect their second hand clothes for us as most of our children come from very poor background and so they always want gift like these.

Please extend thanks to you children.
