Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to Sports Afternoon tomorrow.
Timings
Class 1 and 2 events will take place from 1.00 until 2.00 and classes 3 and 4 from 2.00 until home time.
Entry at 1.00 and 2.00, will be via the main green gate which will then be locked for the duration of the event for the safety of your children. The gate will not be manned between these times so we will be unable to let you in or out.
Once the events have been completed, the children will be taken back to their classes in order to gather their belongings. Once this has happened, if you have attended Sports Afternoon, you can collect your child from the same place as usual. If you have only attended the KS1 event you will be permitted to take your children when their event finishes to save you from having to go home and come back again.
Refreshments
The Friends will be serving tea, coffee and cans of soft drinks for parents and visitors at a cost of £1 each and scones at £1.50.
There will also be ice lollies for sale at the end of the KS1 event and again at the end of KS2 for children (or adults!). These will be 50p each.
Try to bring change if you can. We would also appreciate you bringing your own cup for hot drinks to save on the accumulation of rubbish.
The Friends have struggled to get volunteers to help serve the refreshments they have bought. They would really appreciate it if a parent who does not have children in KS1 could man the refreshments stand from 1.00 until 2.00 and then visa versa from 2.00 until 3.20. Please get in touch with Steph Walker if you are willing to do this.
Parking
We have received three very irate emails from members of the community today about parking whilst Preschool sports day was taking place. This is a very upsetting matter for them as they worry about the safety and wellbeing, especially of the elderly who live around our school. However, it is frustrating for us as careless and thoughtless parking is down to individuals and not a school matter.
To support our local community we are appealing to you to use common sense and show consideration when parking, especially during sports afternoon tomorrow. Although it may be more convenient for you to park as near to school as you can, it can be hazardous and put others at risk. Please park around the corner near The Unicorn or round by church and walk the short distance to school.
If you see unacceptable parking please speak to those involved and remind them of the Highway Code, rather than passing the matter on to school.
Class 4 are at Chatsworth and the weather is perfect for them!

We have had some thoughtless and dangerous parking around school in the past few weeks, both at morning drop off and home time.
This puts your children's lives at risk.
Think before you park. Do not park on the junction, the corners of roads or near the school gates.
We have had the most wonderful afternoon completing challenges in our houses!
