  • Rotary Club Dictionaries

    Thu 15 Oct 2020
Year 5 and 6 have been generously gifted dictionaries to aid them on their learning journey through class 4. This initiative is led by The Rotary Club who contribute to the local area and wider communities so wonderfully. It was lovely to welcome Geri and Jane in to hear about their good work.
  • Barnstone Park

    Mon 12 Oct 2020

Last year we distributed a questionnaire about Barnstone park. Your views and ideas were collated and the project is now complete.

Thanks to the dedication, vision and hard work of the community the park now has wonderful equipment for children to enjoy.

Thank you to Stephanie Walker for the update.

  • Magical Maths Club - CLASS 3 ONLY

    Fri 09 Oct 2020

    Amazing news!

Magical Maths is returning to Langar PS with a brand new, super fun, after school maths club **for class 3 only** and we would like to invite your child/children to come along and join us for some fantastic mathemagical fun!

We'll be starting the club on Friday 13th November straight after school and running on the following dates at the same time for an hour each week:

    Friday 13th, 20th, 27th, Nov & 4th, 11th Dec

Magical Maths Club is packed full of exciting games and activities that are super fun and highly educational (but don't tell the children!).

Please be aware though, that we do have limited availability (reduced to allow for greater spacing/distancing) and places WILL fill up fast. The places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so be sure to sign up quickly to secure your spot!

Visit www.magicalmathsclub.com or call 0115 871 2024 to save your space!

  • PE Uniform

    Wed 07 Oct 2020

The PE indoor uniform is a yellow or white t-shirt, black or navy blue shorts and plimsolls/ trainers

The outdoor PE uniform is a yellow or white t-shirt; black, navy blue or grey tracksuit bottoms or leggings; a navy blue SCHOOL jumper and trainers.

Some children have been wearing sports hoodies and jumpers. These are not permitted. Children wearing these will be asked to remove them and put it in their bag until the end of the day.

Children should wear this on their PE days and can wear the outdoor uniform over the indoor one as the weather is turning colder. Wearing this on swimming days makes it very easy for children to get changed and we would encourage this.

  • Reception Class 2021

    Tue 06 Oct 2020

If you, or anyone you know is  applying for a child to start school for the first time (reception), the key dates are:

    Apply from: 9 November 2020
    Closing date: 15 January 2021

    https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions/when-to-apply

We are welcoming parents to come and have a tour of school as this is such an important decision and we do not feel that this should be an opportunity restricted by Covid-19. These will be ideally carried out after children have left the school building or, if in school time, following strict social distancing rules. Please pass this message on to anyone you know who may be interested.
