  After a fabulous day at the seaside yesterday, the children are packed up ready to head home after a day in sunny Scarborough - starting with the Lifeboat Station. They are expected to arrive back to school in time for home time. I will update you if they are delayed.

  Children and staff have thoroughly enjoyed their day at Rydale Folk Museum. They made pottery, created rag rugs and washed clothes using mangles and possers! The children loved washing the clothes - pumping the water and using their muscles to spin the clothes with a dolly! I'm sure they'll demonstrate their new found skills when they return with their bags of dirty clothes on Friday!

  The children had a wonderful day yesterday in Dalby Forest. The weather was very kind to them and was dull but dry!

  

• PTA - Save the Date

  On June 21^st 2019 the Langar School PTA will be holding the ‘Langar Jam’ festival as our main summer event. The afternoon will kick off with a showcase of talent; music, singing and dancing  by the children, from 1400 in the school hall. Immediately afterwards we will move to the school field to continue the festivities; BBQ food, cake stall, bar, pony rides, games and more. Come and join in with a children and adult rounders match and soak your parents and teachers in the water stocks! So bring your picnic blankets and we will look forward to seeing you there!

• Football Champions!

  A number of our children play for football clubs and teams outside of school. Some of them play for Radcliffe Olympic under 9s Blue. Last night the annual awards ceremony took place with four children from Langar winning prizes! We are thrilled to congratulate Xander, Jack, Sam and Cale on these accolades.
