Magical Maths Club
Tue 08 Feb 2022Magical Maths is returning to Langar PS with a brand new, super fun, after school maths club and we would like to invite your child/children to come along and join us for some fantastic mathemagical fun!
We'll be starting the club on Friday 4th March straight after school and running on the following dates at the same time for an hour each week:
Friday 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March & 1st April
Magical Maths Club is packed full of exciting games and activities that are super fun and highly educational (but don't tell the children!).
Please be aware that places are limited so will fill up fast. The places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so be sure to sign up quickly to secure your spot!

Connect and Reflect Afternoons - Catch Up
Fri 04 Feb 2022On the 18th and 20th January we held our termly Connect and Reflect afternoons where you were invited in to celebrate your child’s learning with them and get a flavour of the work they are doing in school.
Sadly, many parents were unable to attend the slot they had booked due to Covid in the family. As promised, I am providing a further opportunity for you to come in and see your child's work.
Following the original format, we would like to invite you to come in for a Connect and Reflect afternoon on Friday 11th February, if you did not come in January. There will be one time slot available from 2.50 - 3.20.
Entry to school will be through reception where you will be taken through to the hall. Tables will be set up in there where you will remain seated and your children – even if they are in multiple classes - will then bring their work to you for you to share and enjoy.
It is imperative that you let us know your intention to attend so that we can organise the hall and get your children's work ready for them to share.

Exciting Opportunity - Junior Bake Off!
Wed 02 Feb 2022We are delighted to say, that we have recently opened applications for the 8th series of Junior Bake Off; a Channel 4 programme that celebrates the culinary talent and ambition of the younger generation in Britain.
We are looking for young budding bakers between 9-12 years old.
Filming would take place from July 2022, but our applications close on Sunday 13th March 2022.

Communication with Staff
Tue 01 Feb 2022We are always very grateful when parents ask questions, as it is likely others would like to hear the answer too!
It is always tricky trying to find time to talk with teachers at an appropriate moment, especially when the matter is sensitive. The morning is a pressure point, as they are busy settling and teaching their class, and at home you often have an audience of children and other parents!
It is best to make an appointment to talk to your child’s teacher about anything substantial, send an email for minor messages, or pass them on via the office or the staff member on door duty.
In September teachers opted for you to use their school emails (rather than class email addresses which are no longer be active):
