  • Parks and Play Areas

    Mon 10 May 2021

We have had a couple of enquiries about the use of the field, climbing frames and MUGA outside of school hours. The gate on Barnstone Road has been open during these hours since government guidelines permitted it. It would be wonderful to see families using this once more.

Stephanie Walker has been in touch this morning to let us know that there are developments at Barnstone play area. She said, "We have now secured the funding to carry out the 2nd phase; we are really excited to be able to do this for the community."

The park will be shut from 17th May for around a week whilst these works are undertaken and we will notify you when it has been completed, safety checks carried out and share some pictures of the work that have been carried out.

The planning for phase 3 in now beginning to take shape - so watch this space!

  • Create Topics

    Fri 07 May 2021

The questionnaires are such a useful tool for finding out your opinions and reflecting on and refining on our practices. Several parents commented that they were unsure about what their children were learning.

This information is available on the website in the 'Academic Excellence' section of the 'Curriculum' page.

Academic Excellence - Curriculum Subjects | Langar C of E Primary School

As you know the whole school follows the same model for which foundation subject leads he topic each term. Discover topics in the autumn term are history led, Explore topics in the spring term are geography and Create in the summer term (now) are arts led.

On the curriculum page you will also see sub pages for each subject. On these pages you find documents that show the coverage of the knowledge and skills for that subject for each year group. This is the maths document PowerPoint Presentation (primarysite-prod-sorted.s3.amazonaws.com) and on other pages these are called 'skills ladders'.

We hope you find this information helpful.
